Thanks Shep. In 2022, Mom died while on the eggs....bird flu (it was so sad to watch). Her name was Chayton (I think)...they rescued the eggs and placed in an incubator. 1 egg hatched...can't remember what happened after that.

2023: 4 eggs...male did not incubate. No hatches.

I did find this. The male in 2023 was Cheveyo, b/bl 68/C (2017 hatch from Kansas City and Power) Female was named Ave’. Not sure if Woodmen gave the name or actual name. No band info.

I wonder if serious avian flu is rampant in Nebraska.
Omaha young hatched then died in 2023 and 24 both.
Plus Woodman confirmed Avian flu in mom.

Unfortunately, we do not. (we have it documented on the calendar for easy reference.)

According to Woodmen of omaha: No eggs in either box on 4/29. 4 eggs discovered on 5/23. If we are incredibly optimistic and say the first egg was laid on 5/18..then yes..there may be a chance..given the male does not incubate when it is his turn...who knows...but I have been checking daily with my fingers crossed.
