Very sad to report that the little chick at Burlington Bristol Bridge did not survive. Since the cam has been off line (until very recently) unknown reason. :tissue:

we still have one to fledge but yesterday ( july17) one returned to box ( stepped in from right side)I believe a female.
just a bit ago another dropped in from roof ( july18) ( I think the male)

we are in a longheat warning. Hot for us. we are not used ot this
i so hard for the young, and the adults ( and ME) but maybe the others will come in also.
they are coming in to eat.

Yes, this.is a World wide problem.
Our Dr. court, species at risk, head , has been asked and is part of a global biologist group, that is studying this issue
We have been directly affected here, as we have lost a big portion of our more mature birds to this. And so we are getting first and second year birds at many of our sites( NUTRIEN being one) u of A another. Thus in some cases no chicks and in others( the blind teaching the blind, so to speak)

our young female has fledged thi s morning early. Peter got a call and went down . they found her on a lower part of Maz across from CS . she is high enough up though and has been fed there
please wish her well . We need a win here for this young couple. she was 45 days old . I will do a post at site on forum later today
