The tree falcons have received their identification rings. A few weeks ago,
new tenants moved into the artificial nests placed on one of MAVIR's high-voltage telecom pillars:
The falcon chicks. After discovering three eggs, we always looked curiously at the screen
to see when a few tiny chicks will appear in the egg box.

We waited with excitement for the last Monday morning in July,
because the few-week-old little ones received their identification rings on that day
with the help of the Hungarian Bird and Nature Conservation Association and #MAVIR specialists.

The little ones are healthy and experts believe that two females and one male have arrived
in the falcon family based on their beaks and head shape. The little newcomers were given
the names Soma, Lelle and Hanga by our birdwatchers

After being informed, our senior colleague from the traffic inspectorate went
to the scene himself and successfully rescued the chick, which had fallen more
than 25 meters into the corn and not onto the concrete base of the post.
Our colleague arrived just in time to prevent the foxes from chasing the chick,
which at first glance escaped without any injuries.

Our falcon expert took the chick to the zoo's bird clinic for a thorough examination.
The staff at the bird clinic confirmed that the chick is fine,
but will spend the weekend at the bird clinic for observation and professional care.

Early this week, MAVIR experts are expected to return the fallen chick to its parents,
as it needs at least another week to develop before it can fly out with peace of mind.
In such cases, the parents will not treat the returned chick like a stranger.
