Just saw a few lips on Fb of two eagles at Berry. Will go and take a look

Yes, 2 eagles.

Late this afternoon Pa to the nest, then Mom. She only stayed about a minute before flying out, but Pa stayed a bit. When he flew out it was only a few minutes before his 2nd visit. He stayed on the left branch for a while, then flew to the rear left branch for just a bit. When he flew out the rear, he kept flying to the far right and out of sight. While it was only a visit and not for nestorations, it was thrilling to see them and know they are doing well and thriving wherever their nest may be! :5val:

Early this morning a fox squirrel with a white snout was all over the nest and under the fluff rooting around which completely covered him. I kept wondering what would happen if an eagle flew in and landed on top of him while under the fluff ...

Pa came back to the nest at 6:40 this morning. He flew at 6:45. He kept trying to rearrange a stick or two on the floor of the nest, but no real nestorations.

8:25:56 Pa returns this morning for his 2nd visit, but this time with a large stick. 8:29:21 He flew.

Pa in late this afternoon to protect the nest area from an intruder. Even though they have probably taken up residence in a new nest this one will continue to be protected from intruders for now at least. The following are the timestamps of this incident 1st from the AC and then from cam 1. Times between the 2 cams remain minutes off from each other

Times per AC, 5:10:40 Pa to LB, 5:10:52 Pa alerting, 5:10:55 intruder flyover, 5:13:46 Pa flew, then intruder flies up and over treetop from the rear, then someone flies up from rear and to the right, 5:13:58 Pa returns to the nest. 5:29:53 Pa to the LB. 5:32:32 Pa flew.

Same sequence but from cam 1 with its times: 4:57:02 Pa to LB, 5:00:07 Pa flew, 5:00:18 Pa to nest watchful and alerts. 5:16:14 Pa to LB, 5:18:52 Pa flew.

Eagle in at about 6:52am, moved straw around a bit and then off . Same one I posted in pictures

Pa has already been in twice this morning most likely d/t an intruder around the nest tree area yesterday.

Thanks Beth! I have been covering them in this spot for a long time and will continue to do so. Pa was in for about 7 minutes early this afternoon. He seemed to be somewhat on alert as if checking out if other eagles are messing around the nest area. When he flew out that was the only visit for the day.

Pa came in at 11:58 with a stick to place. Cam 1 is black, must go to cam 2 to see. 12:04 Pa flew!

A second visit from Pa today! Early this evening an eagle flew from the rear to the right of the nest, then Pa immediately flew in from the rear and landed on the nest, then most likely the same eagle who had flown from the left had continued to swing far out from the front and we could see it fly back to the rear from the left of the nest. Pa watched. He didn't stay long and he flew out to the rear. Soon very faint welcoming vocals could be heard from the very far rear. Farther out than where they used to spend the night. The 2nd eagle was most likely Mom and if they did settle for the night way back there, then they probably can see the new nest from there.

Nice to see 2 eagles here for quite awhile this morning ( early) and then a mating on branch . Lots of nestorations.

I always just say 2 eagles as never sure if same ones as last year.But , there are 2 and a nice mating.

Very exciting early morning. Not sure when Pa and Mom arrived this morning, but both were on the tree before 6:00. Haven't seen Mom since the 3rd and she looks great. They stayed a long time. Pa brought in 1 branch and Mom brought in 1 branch. They mated on the LB. One of the times she left and then at some point you could hear her screaming and Pa was off in a flash to defend her. I do suspect there is an intruder in the area (although I have not seen) from all the alerting we have heard coming from the rear. Both have been in and out especially Pa, but so far, they each have only brought in one stick. I still believe they have another nest, but wouldn't it be wonderful if they decided to come back to this one before the 1st egg is laid. All has been quiet again most recently, but you can catch their activity on the DVR.

Couple midday visits by Pa with Mom coming in on 2nd one. They both dug around in the nest cup area with their beaks. Eventually Pa got in and tried it out.

Mom flies to the nest at 5:45 with Pa following in on her tailfeathers. She flew at 5:49. Pa watched to see where she went and followed her out at 5:50.

Pa to the nest before daylight. He left and Mom came in a few minutes later. Pa returned. He made a few trips in and out bringing sticks to place. At one point both were aerating the bowl. Last night Rocky made multiple trips to the bowl stuffing his cheeks with fluff and disappearing out the back of the nest to add to his/her nest. He would only be gone about 15 seconds between each trip.
