Per chat, they thought it might be Mom who stopped by the nest for a few minutes early this afternoon.

Per chat, early this evening a couple of subadults stopped by the nest and tree. One stayed only a little longer after the other flew.

Young subadult eagle currently on the nest! IR still on. 7:42 It flew out up and over the left branch. Read back on the chat and they report it arrived at 7:33 am.

7:48 Same eagle has returned to the nest. 7:55 It flew.

(This one seems to be a 2-3 y/o.)

In addition to above posts, the subadult has returned twice more to the nest late this afternoon and is on the nest currently.

The youngest subadult that has visited the nest recently just returned at 7:30 am and is currently on the nest. 7:35 It flew.

Per chat, Pa stopped by the nest with prey at 8:37 am. He took a couple bites and flew within the same minute taking the prey with him.

No eagle visits on Thursday the 9th nor Friday the 10th. However, chat is reporting that Mom showed up at 8:22 this morning and flew at 8:42. Unfortunately, still no DVR to go back and see which eagle was here.

In addition to the above post for Saturday, an immature was noticed on cam at 5:33 this evening by chat. It is unknown when it actually arrived. It has perched on a couple different branches since it came but is spending the night. When I came back in late tonight it was on the left branch facing away from the cam. This is some of what I have seen:

11:21 Immature had been sleeping with its head tucked, however from the reaction a noise woke it up. It jerked its head up and looked around, then not noticing anything alarming it began to preen. It preened until just a few short minutes ago when it tucked its head and back to sleep. 11:42 Seems another noise has abruptly awakened it again ...

11:44 It roused and now preening.

11:45 Something startled it that came to the back of the nest, but I was typing and did not see. It has batted its wings at the intruder twice! Possibly Rocky. I did not see.

The immature is softly vocalizing as Pa used to do when an intruder was nearby. You can see its beak moving at intervals.

12:07 Poor babe is still awake, I can see its eye blink at intervals, otherwise it is not moving.

When I first came in it was on the LB as I described above. When it was batting its wing at the intruder at least by the 2nd time, it had moved down on the nest, then soon it went to perch on the front rail or most likely the base of the left branch. It has its back to us as I leave.

It just moved up on the LB (at some point had moved from where I last saw it to perch on the usual spot all the eagles perch when on the LB) and out of cam 1 view but can be seen on the AC.

The last I saw the immature was sometime after 4 am today. It did spend the entire night as chat reported seeing a video elsewhere of it flying out at 6:05 am.

4:46 pm: The same immature as noted in above posts that spent the night on the nest tree last night came back to do it again. He was already here when I came in at 4:46, so don't know when he arrived but I had not been away from the cam but for about 20 minutes. It was on the LB but has since flown to one of the rear left branches. Last night he moved around some, so if you don't see him on cam 1 check the AC.

The immature did spend the night on the nest tree for a 2nd night in a row. He flew out at 6:10 this morning. No eagles seen so far since, however we are watching now to see if he shows up for a 3rd night to roost on the nest tree for the overnight.

5:24/25 pm The same immature that has stayed overnight on the nest tree arrived to the nest. 5:27 Flew d/t possible intruder in area! I didn't see the actual intruder but saw the youngster's reaction and abrupt departure and thought it may be Pa, Mom or another bird. If Pa or Mom, then perhaps they would do a nest check when done with escorting youngster from the territory.

5:55 I saw something moved in upper right screen. May be an eagle on a back tree.
5:56 Flyby on right!
6:00 An eagle lands on the left branch with their back towards us. Not getting good looks of face but thinking Pa. So, most likely it was Pa who scared him off the nest earlier.
6:02 Pa flew! He looked po'd! Hahaha!

Then later in the evening there was a visit to the nest twice by Mom. Notice her gait is off. I know there is concern of a possible injury by some, but I have also seen this with extended hours incubating that sometimes causes stiffness. Of course, as best we can, will have to watch for future visits to hopefully discern between the two.

Pa to the nest before dark to check things out. Eventually he flew to a left rear, branch and is spending the night.

The younger immature stopped by the nest for a short visit early this evening.
