and she comes from South Bend, Indiana.

After Newman disappeared (winter migration), a ringed male appeared at the nest.

Male Zazu 18/U hatched in 2022 at Bay State Milling, Winona.

November 11

On December 6, Zazu arrived.

Good evening! T Susan told me about this nest last fall. It appears that last summer a banded female
(U09 Elaine) visited this nest several times and was found mating with Newman. Elaine is the granddaughter of Moxie and Jamie in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Do we know if Elaine or Newman have been spotted yet this year?

I find it interesting Zazu sticks to that chunk of cliff.
He has not approached the RLD or nestbox - that I've seen.

Will Newman return?
Will they fight?

saw this falcon on feeding ledge . was not there long. do not kno w who
would hate to lose Newman . He was the only constant here.
