OK Apollo - this is the 2nd time you've corrected my date! :egg11:

I am surprised she had #3 - will all 3 hatch?

There's a raindrop on the screen right over the eggs, so I can't tell how many there are. Assuming there are just 3.

Not sure, Shep...we are in unchartered territory with Moxie this year. She normally lays eggs every other day and should have had her normal clutch of 4 completed on 3-24 (based on the date of the 1st egg).
So is it her age, are the eggs viable? We simply do not know as we have never encountered this type of behavior for her. i wish I had a better answer. But I sure hope that at least one hatches this year!

This is a strange - not good - year -
with falcons - hawk - eagles.
Lot of oddities.

Seems to be a shortage of adult female falcons.
ONLY my guess, no expertise.
Could the gene pool be so small its having an effect?

Still 3 eggs as of 4-2-25 @ 3:56pm at a nest exchange

Shep's question about where are all the adult falcons? While this is referencing east coast peregrine's, this article makes you wonder about the avian flu and the number of adult peregrines in the Midwest.

Thanks, Apollo. We can only hope that and avian flu is suddenly over like Covid. :girlsad3:

Some of you better get to chatting on the Soaring Hawk page. It's take over by non-nesters. I can't figure out how to do that. :16:
