Does anyone know what is making this shadow at the bottom of the picture? During the video streaming, the shadow moves back and forth. I thought it might be the camera or microphone.

Hi all. Update on the MN Loons: the original pair is still coming and approaching the nesting area. The males dive underwater to avoid the other male coming up from underneath and stabbing it in the chest. I heard the Loon sounds at night that were on the video, and although beautiful sounding, am concerned that they were alarm calls. The loons have repeatedly come off the eggs to chase the original pair. And the female does not hurry back to the nest, sometimes its been 8, 11, or 13 minutes before she comes back. She will also get off again sometimes for another 3 mins before coming back, to be sure the other female is truly gone. That time off the nest may delay the hatchings an extra day or so? Plus it is colder there late at night, and early morning. She needs to be left alone. The last 2 days I have also heard boats, and people talking nearby on boats, and even music from the boats last night. All this can bother the loon too. Lets keep fingers crossed the original pair finds a new safe place to lay their eggs for this year anyway. The pics of the pacific loon are great, such a beautiful bird too. Along with the red throated loon, these are all gorgeous birds! :bonnet: Also, here is a pic of the loon tonight at dinnertime, after he/she returned to the eggs. It was off the eggs when I tuned in to the cam, and stayed off for at least 5 mins while I came here. Notice the posture, which is guarded once again. It has not been holding its head high, like normal alert, but outstretched like this. Hope all ends up ok with this nest...

After a short swim about, a parent returns to the nest, rolls eggs and plops down:

OMG I'm sitting here watching the wind blow softly and
listening to the sounds and almost fell asleep.
Can you imagine how I am with camping YES sleeping like a baby

I keep hearing something real faintly that sounds sort of like some kind of metal jingling
