I'm determined to get caught up. The first 3 pics are from May 7th ... the rest are from yesterday, the 17th. You can see how much they changed in 10 days. I caught a feeding yesterday evening. Biggie and middle were getting most of it. Baby was having a hard time getting in there ... crawling right under Mom at times. Afterward, Mom flew off for a few minutes, came back and resuming feeding ... Baby only. :)

Well its been determined that either the middle or biggest has a limp going on,
From Amy Ries at RRP forum

http://raptorresource.org/forum/index.p ... 7.780.html

We've had some emails about a limping eaglet at the Decorah nest,
and some requests to get the limping eaglet from the nest.
We are unable to do so - if we tried to go up to the nest,
all three eaglets would jump. They are not old enough to fly yet,
so that would be disastrous. We'll keep an eye on the nest, which is all
we can do right now.

Jump?? Is she serious?? I think Amy needs to get educated about Eagles. These eaglets are the exact same age as the PH eaglets. They didn't jump today!!! They just need someone who knows what they're doing!!!

PS ... and I just went and posted the same thing on the RPP forum.

Well, there hasn't been anything new over on the RR forum. I don't think Nora liked my initial comments too much, but, oh well. I haven't had the time to actually sit and watch them long enough to figure out which one has the problem and what it might be. I'm suspecting its Middle though, but not sure. They all seem fine though, eating well, flapping and hopping around. I'm going to try and watch them this weekend. :)

Thanks for watching and reporting, Patti. There are so many nests this year and I'm also having a lot of trouble keeping up.
