Molly left the box yesterday and everyone was wild on the chat/blog.
They didn't think it was time and something had happened to Molly.
She was home last night at dusk with food.

I don't think I can go there much anymore without being full screen. It hit me hard last night that while organizations like Hungry Owl and Starr to name only 2, are in desperate need of funds at the same time that there was a voice over "talk" asking for money. The hawking of goods is over the top. Some of the money will go to a San Marcos Wildlife group, but some is going to the owner.

I certainly think that recovery of funds is reasonable, and I am thankful to Carlos for the opportunity to see beautiful Molly and her babies in color. It was breathtaking to see the actual coming out of two of the chicks. And Carlos has brought to light this beautiful bird for the world to see. But this is too much. I am very sad about the way things have played out. :-(

I support Starr to the extent that I can because Pete bears the burden of his cam. Imagine if some of the people who donated gave a couple of bucks to HOP and Starr or the wildlife conservation group of their choice...

Thx for listening

I have sent money to Starr/Pete and this month I will send a donation to HOP.
Thanks for the reminder Paula! :waveht:

:clapegg: Hi Paula. Take heart - there are 10 or 20,000 people watching Molly everynight. Carlos said he has sold 1700 e books. Many watchers are enjoying seeing Molly and her owlets, as they also enjoy Pete and his Starr owls. With only 1 percent of viewers buying merchandise, I think that says something too? It bothered me at first too, but he does say up front that he did not get into this for charity, but for the san marcos wildlife fund to get money. He made his money in real estate. He states that either way, he's keeping the cam up. Things are tough now for some people when it comes to money. I am sure when they can, more of Pete's viewers will donate when the time is right for them. Many of these viewers havent seen other cams even, the barn owl is their first. It will take some time. People will always do good in the end. :loveshow:
