I sure hope they can either fix it soon or (sad to say) move on to a safer place to nest thanks for all the information Cricket :leafwave:

Well it's been 6-7 days now since K-10 & K-26 have been seen on the nest. Now it is not unusual for them to start Nextorations, and then leave and not return till January when they go into full swing of Nestorations.

However I have bad vibes, and I hope I'm wrong in a way, that they are else where building a New nest. Dr Peter Sharpe our Biologist said it would only take them a day or two to rebuild. Now I'm sure he's not talking about the Penthouse Condo they have here, but at least it would be a safe nest for them and their offspring. He said the tree the nest on has been dying for the last couple of years.

There are branches sticking up from the tree threw the nest. The nest is tilting towards the left. We are all afraid when the Sana Anna Winds hit, the nest could be blown off to the side. I just don't want to see either parent getting hurt or anything that would cause the nest to be a Failure this Season.

Keeping my talons crossed they have relocated. Dr. Sharpe also said depending where they move to, and if it can be accessed quickly without stressing the Eagles, depends whether the Cam will be placed there quickly or not.

Well our famous pair K-10 & K-26 have returned to their nest several times for some repair work, and to survey the damage. So they just might use the nest again this year.

Dr. Peter Sharpe, our Biologist, said the hole is not dangerous for the eaglets due to the location on the rear and up on the backside.
