I just cannot imagine looking out at my bird feeder and seeing birds like that!!! I'd never get anything done...they are just gorgeous...Thanks Beth and KF!!!

I took my first visit to Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County, California. It was a beautiful day and had a chance to take some video of wildlife near the lake, including migratory birds and mule deer. I was so excited to see osprey and bald eagles along with several waterfowl. Here's a short YouTube video clip of that visit:



There were also two types of grebes including the Western grebe. There were blue heron (which I missed!), coots, a swan (the Ranger guide didn't know how it got there as it is the only swan at the lake). I definitely want to go back during the winter as the Ranger said you'd see a lot more osprey and bald eagles along with other wintering migratory birds.
