yes that shot was the holy grail that alot of others were trying to get. i really lucked out seeing the two battling above me when i arrived and the fishing eagle was the icing on the cake. Now i want to go back for more

I would get it framed if I were you. It really is spectacular.

Went down to Connowingo this am and almost froze my little fingers off. Not too much eagle activity but that was likely due to the wind and rough surf on the Susquehanna below the dam as this shot shows

Eagles were soaring from tree to tree in thier typical eagle hijinx seeking fish from other eagles

One did have a snack and was protecting it from marauding eagles as they dined on a tree branch

Two were very accomodating posing for portriats

I wish i knew myself, perhaps a birch tree? Wish i had the same ability to identify such things like my great grandfather John Burroughs had but after 3 generations i suppose the gene is a little more recessive than i would have liked it to be. :lol:

At least i know that the eagle isnt dining on the swedish "Lutfisk" only because i am only two generations off the boat from there

You have my gratitude for thinking that my shots are worthy! While i do not have any intent on shooting professionally, i know some shooters hesitate to post shots fearing thier shots might appear commercially in something even in outer Mongolia, With the internet, i dont object to the use of my shots if somebody wants them as long as they dont use them to make boatloads of $ that is

Beautiful pics George - I should take a drive down there someday! I those trees are a type of Poplar, but I'm not positive. They grow all along the river up this way - they can get very large.
